自己分析という言葉を聞いた事がありますか？
若い方なら分かる方がいるかもしれません。
現在、就職活動をおこなっている学生がよく口にする言葉で、
自分がどういうモノに関心を抱き、どのような事が好きで、
どのような得手・不得手があり、どのような仕事に就いて、
どのように生きていきたいかを自分の過去の体験を振り返りながら、
将来的な事を考えていくというものです。
何だか一昔前に流行った自分探しみたいな感じですね。
ただ、これをしないと就職活動は成功しないと言われているみたいです。
私は学生時代、就職活動のときに机に向かって自己分析をするという事は全くしてはいませんでした。
代わりに、面接に沢山行き、様々な質問をされ、
面接中に答えられなかった質問を振り返りながら、自己分析のようなものをしていたと思います。
さて、この自己分析ですが、就職活動が終われば必要なくなることでしょうか。
ある就職活動で苦しんでいる方が、
「何で就職活動の為に、今後人生で不必要な自己分析なんてしないといけないんですか！」
と怒りを表したことがあります。
ただ、自己分析は本当に人生で全く必要のないことなのでしょうか。
自己分析かは分かりませんが、私は自分自身を振り返ることで、
自分の成長に役立ったことはあります。
現在の仕事に就く際にも自分自身を振り返り、
自分を知ることで、現在の仕事に、自分自身の人生に役立っていると実感する事があります。
現在、頻繁に名前を聞くようになった「キャリア」という考え方の中にも、
棚卸しという名前で自分自身の仕事上の経験や学生時代も含めた人生で得意なこと、
やりがいを感じたこと、達成できたことを振り返ることがあります。
一昔前には終身雇用で、自分自身のやりがいや働き方を振り返らなくても、
働き続けられる環境がありましたが、
現在は終身雇用が無くなり早期退職支援などで50代から
再度、自分自身の人生を振り返り、今後の人生の方向性を考えていくという方もいます。
自己分析は現在では一生に渡って取り組んでいく方が多くなっています。
そして、一生に渡り取り組むということは、就職活動のときに必要な訳ではなく、
今後、ずっと求められることになってきているということです。
時には、自分を振り返り分析すると、気付かなかった自分に発見できることもあります。
