先日、ご相談に来たクライエントの言葉で
印象に残っている言葉がありました。
その方は、今後の人生の歩み方に悩み、
自分の中でどうして行きたいのかを整理したいという事で、
ご相談に来て頂きました。
お話を伺いながら、少しずつ考え方を整理して行く中で、
「やりたい事」が見付かりました。
そして、そこからは「やりたい事」ができるようになる為に、
何をするかを一緒に考えていきました。
先日、その「やりたい事」が出来るようになり、
そのご報告に来て下さいました。
その最後のカウンセリングの最中に、
こんな事を仰ったのです。
Cl＝クライエント（ご依頼者様） Co＝カウンセラー（中村）
Cl「もっと早くに相談に来ていれば良かったと思います。
そうすれば、こんなに悩む事も無く、もっと早くにやりたいことを
見付ける事が出来ていたかもしれないので。」
Co「そっか。じゃあ、もしもっと早くに相談に来て、
悩んでいなければ、今のやりたい事には辿り着けと思いますか？」
Cl「いや、分からないですね。」
Co「そうなんだ。」
Cl「そっか、過去の事を悔やんでもしょうがないって事ですね！
起こった事は変えられないし。今から、どうするかって事ですね！」
そう言って、目を輝かせながら、感謝の言葉を言って、
帰られていきました。
既に起こってしまった過去を、どれほど悔やんだり反省しても、
変える事は出来ません。
だったら、過去の反省点を活かして、今後どうしていくのかを
考える事が大切という事を発見して教えて下さったのです。
このクライエントが見付けた「やりたい事」は非常に大変な道ですので、
これからも沢山の苦労や悩みを抱えるかもしれません。
ただ、最後の顔を見る限り、その苦労や悩みを乗り越え、
成長していけると思います。
このクライエントを通して、私も成長させて頂いた想いになりました。
